I have once again tried a new style that I am very pleased with.. FINGER COILS!!!
After cramming hours of Youtube videos, I finally started at the task at hand. The style is very easy to do and doesn’t take much effort. All you need a styler of your choice (I use Eco Styler Olive Oil), a rat-tail comb, and a water bottle ( to mist the hair as it dries). Due different interruptions and the Sunday’s Eagles v.s. Giants game (#TeamEagles), it took me two days to complete the style. Most of the video I saw on YT took about 3-4 hours.
TO DO THE STYLE: Like I said above it is easy-peaies. I wash my hair my VO5 moisture milks shampoo and then deep condish with my Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque. Before I started twirling the hair I added leave-in and JoJoba Oil to my hair. Once my hair was ready I section off my hair in six sections and started with the front half first. I picked a section of hair and ran my rat-tail comb through to make sure that there weren’t any snags or knotts. I coat my hair with my Eco styler ( as if you were going to shingle your hair) and with my index finger I twirl the hair around my finger (starting close to roots as possible). #myfirstproblem: I didn’t twirl some of the sections tight as others this resulted in some of the coils being bigger that the other (see pic below)
and that’s about it. I spent the rest of the rest of the twirling and watching the game. Twirlling and playing with the “biscuit”. Twirling and talking withing my family. Twirling and watching my girlfriend sleep sitiing up. I basically twirled my hair until about midnight. The folowing morning I only had the back right section to complete. I finished that in about 2 hours. My coils are smaller in back than in the front.
This is the first style that I have done that was very easy and looks cute. My aunt told me it actually looks very becoming on me
I can’t wait to see what my coil out will look like…
TO REFRESH: I will mist with water, add oil, and fluff daily. OH BTW I sleep with my satin bonnet
Till Later,
Vickii
